Trying to guess age on our new Dumerils?
Well mmm I guess I did it again,

This time the little guy was a Dumerils male...

I still cant believe my eyes every time I hold him, these pictures are total crap because you cant even start to see the pink colors on his neck area & everywhere else.

If there are any Dumerils experts out there that would maybe help me figure out how old this guy could be, I would be very thankful. The pet store owner really couldn’t tell me his correct age but he thought he might be around 6 months...?>>> Please keep in mind my wife who is holding him in a pic or two is a pretty small woman, like 5'2...

Thanks for any & all help
    heres a few pics...

Yea I see how it might be difficult to guess an age. I’m really new to most all snakes, this is my 5th snake / second Boa...

Thanks for at least looking, I think he's under a year for sure, but what do I know..

    Thanks again

Hmm....they appear a little thin for a Dums of that length.

My guesstimate is probably around 7 mos to a year-ish. I have a young pair that were bought as babies in January, and they're still not quite that long, although they are packing on some weight.

From what I've read, dumerils are somewhat slow-growers compared to other boids, so I'd say yours is probably closer to a year old.
