    These pics do him NO justice. For one, he was moving too much. And they just don't bring out the butter-gold color he has. :)

    He came in with a minor case of mites, but ALL precautions and PAMings have been taken. He is the calmest thing...not a bit head shy and quite laid back.

    :D Thanks, all. And that comment made me laugh aloud, Starmom.

    Luckily, the mites aren't that bad. I think they came from another snake in the enclosure (stores and their limited space, you know) that was 'tossed in' without the normal QT procedures these stores usually take. That happens when a newer (young) employee is hassled for time, usually. he's in a QT tub with paper towels that was thoroughly PAMed. :)

    We'll see if he proves out in a generation or two. He's breeding size now, and I intend to put him in with my big normal, granite-looking female this coming winter.

    Thanks again for the great comments! Now...what do you think his name should be? :D
