    Mites
It's an albino burm, but the cure should work the same, right?

    What's the best method?
I've heard of sevin dust, provent a mite, some type of oil.

They say the bottles from petco don't work.

It got really bad suddenly, it even has them in his eyes. I tried the water thing but nothing happened.

    What should I do?
I left the hides underwater for a while so they could drown.
    I changed the newspaper.

    Help...

    Provent-A-Mite.
Google it and then order on-line. I have yet to find this product in any stores.
    Good luck!

    How does it work?
    You just spray the enclosure?

When you soak them in water, you need to add a little bit of dish soap to break the water tension and actually drown the mites.

If you dont get the head wet, the VPI book says to rub olive oil on in the creases and head.

While the snake is soaking, you clean all the items in the snakes cage, with a bleach solution. (especially water bowl since you cant coat it with pesticide)

Then you treat the cage and cage furniture (except for the water bowl!!) with PAM, or Black Knight II, let it completely dry. Put the snake on paper or kraft paper, and return him to his cage.

What would be a safe amount of soap?

like one or two drops in a bathtub is usually fine... i've used baby shampoo just cause it's around and i know it's gentle.

DITTO! PAM is some amazing stuff! Read the directions carefully and follow them perfectly and you will be mite-free!
