So we bought a couple rats on friday to feed to our two ball pythons. Well our male Faelan ate his no problem. Our female Lily didn't want to eat hers, but she just got moved to a big enclosure so we figure she is just a little off from that. No biggie we just put the rat in a tank in the same room. Well the tank the rat was in is too tall for him to jump out so we didn't put a lid on it. Well, I went in the room today to feed and water the rat and check on all the reptiles and the rat was missing. So the bf and I started looking all around the room. We didn't find the rat but we did find our male Faelan out of his tank and under the stand the bearded dragon enclosure sits on. Hmmm....looks like his tank didn't get locked. But when I picked him up I was surprised at how heavy he felt. So I put him on the scales and well....we still haven't found the rat but I don't think we need to keep looking. I think he ate it. :D
(note: He was only about 600 grams last weigh in which was less than a month ago)

Just found it funny (not the loose snake-pretty mad at the bf for that) but we figure he either got out of his tank went across two shelves to the rats tank went inside ate it then slid down to the floor or the rat actually did jump out and he ate it somewhere in the room. I always joked with people who had a rat/mouse problem they could borrow my snakes to get rid of them (would never actually let them) guess he decided to do it for me. :P
