Craig's list
How do you find snakes on craigs list? I have looked and looked and have only found 1 or 2.

Re: Craig's list
Hey man, I think you are probably searching for items under the "for sale" category. I did the same thing with only a few results as well. Change the category on the left to "all community" or something like that, then type in Ball Pythons or whatever you are looking for, and if they are available in your area it should bring them up. Hope that helps!

Re: Craig's list
Probably know this but they are under pets, sometimes there are 10 in a day and then their will be a whole week with nothing. At least that is how it is on the Chicago list

Re: Craig's list
You search the general 'search' list to the left for your city.
You search every day.
And, you live in the right place. :) Some places just don't advertise snakes or the like because of the general mind set...

Re: Craig's list
you have to search daily... normaly there are only 1 or 2 up at a time here.

Re: Craig's list
I go to pets and then use my browser to search for "snake" then "python". Most of the time I don't find anything of interest, but occasionally I stumble upon some gold.

Re: Craig's list
I personally just go to the Pets Section in my area and search on "ball python" and "ball pythons"

Re: Craig's list
I just found a listing a couple of days ago that seemed "to good to be true" and it turns out that it was, it was a posting for my area and I talked to this guy for a couple of days and picked out what I wanted and settled on a price and then he mentions that he leaves in DC, only about 3000 miles away...I think its safe to say "SCAM"...be careful on there

Re: Craig's list
Be careful period. Some will have a "rehoming" fee when they are not looking for rehoming, they are out and out selling stock animals which isn't allowed by Craigslist (I don't care for people that sneak around rules ).
Also remember, if it is a rehome you are taking on somebody else's problems or lack of poor care. I'm not saying to not adopt (why would I since I believe so strongly in rescue) but to be well aware of both the time and financial issues you can face with some snakes. If you don't know how to care for a healthy ball python, then don't take on an ill, poorly cared for one. If you can't afford the vet care, don't rescue. If you don't have a support system of more experienced keepers you can turn to in an instant, please think about whether you are really giving this snake a better home than it currently is in.
A good deal is not always a good deal - for you or for the snake.
