Ball python escape

I just went to feed my ball and he's gone! i live with housemates, one is deathly afraid of snakes and i really need to find min soon. Last time i seen him was last night how far could he have gone? also we keep the doors open what are the chances he bolted outside?

If the doors were open, he definitely could have went outside. Especially this time of year with it being so warm. I would check all small, dark, warm places in your house. They can get in to weird places. One of mine escaped a while back, and it was in the back of my oven.

I had my ball escape once. It was in my closet balled up on a purse strap, didnt go to far luckily, but im guessing an open door to nice warmth is hard to resist. Look in all dark places first although have someone start checking outdoors so it doesnt get to far if it got out.

Found!!! Technically not an escape though, he was still inside the tank but manages to work himspef into a tube that i use to deliver water to the bottom of my tank, I guess i need to cover the tube with a screeen before I put it back in.

What kind of a set up do you have? Picture?

I had an escape a couple of monthes ago...found it wrapped around the motor of my minifridge.

here si the tank, the white tube in the very back right hand corner is what he got caught in, but you cant see it because of the plants. Im going to put a screen over the tube before I put it back in. Do you guys knwo if BPs can get out of tansk with the hard steel tops that practically snap on? thats what I have. http://i539.photobucket.com/albums/f...honTank002.jpg

Nah they shouldn't be able to get out of that, especially if it clamps on. If your still concerned put some books on it or something.

Maybe it's just the picture but that setup looks really humid, more suited for frogs. Is the substrate dry?

its damp but not so much that its really humid, its about 60-70, it was up recently becuase it was rainy here so it was more an atmospereic thing. but thanks I know glass tanks can be hard to get the right humidity but my false bottom set up has kept it perfect!
