    possible Ri?
Not quite sure what to make of this situation. I have had snakes with RI's before but my snake in the last couple of days has been making a noise like a whistle. I put her up to my ear and there is no popping or anything that i can hear. she recently ate a adult mouse on friday and is acting normal. she is a little dull looking like she may be ready to shed. just not quite sure if i should take her to the vet or maybe i am being paranoid. her temps are on the warm side are between 89-90 and on the coold side 80-83 humidity is at 50-55 percent. i know i should look in her mouth but not quite sure how to do that. her last shed was about 4 weeks ago.

Chances are it's friction with the shed. Make sure after the shed it is all off, especially around her nose.
Try to open her mouth with a Q-tip and see if it looks gunky and mucusy in there. If it does, take her to the vet. If not, keep a good eye on her and if the problem persists after the shed, then try to take to the vet for a check.

    Good luck!

A lot of times a ball will sound like it has a RI around shedding time. Check it after it sheds to be sure but if there are no visible signs then I would wait on the vet.....

As long as it is humid enough for her to shed ok I would not worry about it....

    Hi,

I would try and raise the humidity to between 60-70% if you can just to make the shed easier. :gj:

I have bumped the humidty to 60 last night. I am just going to wait and watch at this point since i see no other possible symptoms. I also held her to my ear last night heard no popping noises or for that matter anything else.
