Our Blue Tegu laid 29 eggs today!!!!!

NOW WE HAVE TO WAIT 60 DAYS TO SEE WHAT HATCHES!!!

I should be able to see some veins in a week or 2.

We're down to 25 eggs. The 4 that looked bad when I found them in the nest are toast.

The other 25 look great!!!

Wow what a big effort she put in! Is this a normal number of eggs to get from one of these females?

I'm told the average for a B&W Tegu is in the 30's. But much isn't know about the Blue Tegu's. There are very few people who have successfully bred them. I guess we got lucky. The coaching of Bobby Hill (Varnyard) may have had a little something to do with it!!;)

It looks like 2 more are going down, 2 more are suspect. Bobby Hill said I'll know how many are actually fertile in the first 2 weeks. The ones that aren't will collapse and harden. It's been 8 days.

Well, we're down to 23 eggs.

But we've got veins!!!! I didn't candle every one, but I saw veins in 8 of them!! I think I even say a few embryos!
