What a group!!
Ok, I know there are tons of Daytona threads out there, but I needed to make one more. My wife and I's trip to Daytona last weekend was one of the best times we have had. We got to meet some awesome new people as well as get together with some people that we have consider some of our closest friends we have. Robin, Karl, Ed, Carrie, Trey and Jami, you guys are awesome, some of the best friends anyone can ask for, when is Birmingham!?!?!?! Christie, you were super cool, make great cookies, and get giddy after one coke, plus you make a pretty cool "fill in wife" as well. Judy, it was a pleasure getting to know you, have you have to be a great lady if you could hang out with that bunch and not get caught in a compromising situation right about the time someone snaps a picture, I am still trying to figure out how you did that?? Raul, you freakin rock man, you and your wife were some of the nicest people we have met, it was truely our pleasure. Nate, my boy!!! We both love girlie drinks, that rocks!!:headbang: It was awesome getting to know you as well. Emily, it took a little while to get ya talking, I know how it feels, I am same way, but it was awesome getting to meet you, hang out with you and purchase some big girls for next years breeding season. You have some awesome Cresties too by the way, too bad I couldn't figure out somewhere to keep them. ;) Kara, it was great to finally meet you after chatting several times on bp.net, I loved the shirt and cool shoes, it didn't hurt the snake sales any I am sure, and that show setup you guys have is insane, I liked it alot!! Larry, we was already friends before Daytona, so it was great catching up with you again, glad those geckos are doing great for you. BT, great getting to meet you, and I still don't think Ed has calmed down from his Pinstripe yet, and I don't blame him, its smokin. Last but not least, my little french fry, Deb, bout time you warmed up a little and started talking to me, and threating my life, it really made for a fun weekend, and I still say it sure is cool to hear a french girl cuss!!

Re: What a group!!
I didn't get to know anyone. The "first show, all time shyness" thing! I did introduce myself to Robin and Judy and they were super. Just wanted to clear it up a bit so y'all didn't think I was stand offish! Next year I will feel more comfortable and make the rounds better. I was so in awe that I missed half the booths and we were there 8 hours! Hopefully with better luck and planning will will make a weekend of it. I do have a story to relate about a couple vendors but that is for another time. Let's just say I am super impressed with LLLReptile and the Zoo Med booth! MOST reptile people are the friendliest bunch I have had the pleasure of spending the day around! For the most part they consider the animals first then the sale etc! That's it for now! I could gush on and on!

Ahh, Tim Bailey as well, I didn't get chat with you as long as I would have liked, but it was fun and hopefully we can hang out again in Birmingham pretty soon!

Re: What a group!!
Hehe....very brave of you to try and mention everyone....'cause you're bound to leave someone out! LOL
It was AWEsome meeting you and your wife and I can hardly wait to see you all again! I'm planning to be at a show in Atlanta in October and Birmingham in November! (The Sept show is right on my birthday so that one is out for me)
As for managing to not have any compromising pictures shot.... I had a skilled professional bodyguard named Kojak. He broke any cameras aimed at me at the wrong time. :P

I am thinking September might be too early for another show for me money wise anyway, but the other two, hey sounds like a plan!!

~evil laugh~ It's on my editing board right now! Lucky for you, I've got to run out to do some shopping in a few minutes, so it's debut will be a bit delayed.

Re: What a group!!
Shaun,
Of course, this group is the best (bp.netter's) so you can't help but meet wonderful folks!
I'm really glad that you guys are somewhat local to me, so that we don't have to wait for shows to get together!
THIS Daytona for me was more about the people and less about the snakes - and it was a blast for sure!
