    cannibalism oh mannnnnn
My second lady popped this afternoon while I was out at the store.

I walk in and noticed she gave birth... Then I noticed the male of the trio munching on a pinkies face. Seconds later the mom notices him and attacks him. She whopped his arse.

Why would he do this? Anything I can do to prevent this?

Its a 1.2 trio in a 10 gallon, with 6 babies from the first litter 2 weeks ago. Those 6 babies werent going to be weaned until next week which would put them at 3 weeks old.

    What are you feeding them?

It is normal in my litters for 1 or two babies to get eaten. For all you know it could have been still born... or something wrong with it. Not something you can really avoid. Just make sure you are feeding them quality food. They certainly are not overcrowded with a 1.2 setup in a 10 gallon tank.

They are on there last scoop of rat blocks from the pet store that I had originally bought. After that I have a nice big bag of mazuri waiting for them.
