My breeding pair of ball pythons have been locking up for the last 2 months. And she isn't pregnant yet. How long do they have to be mating for her to get pregnant?:confused:

Re: Breeding ?
Female ball pythons have a year long reproductive cycle where they grow their follicles and then when those follicles reach a certain size and with the proper seasonal cues as well as timely male introduction they will either dedicate them for fertilization or absorb them and start the cycle over.
As a breeder you get to figure out when all those things are -- otherwise it's pretty much just recreational mating.
Have you seen any signs of building or felt follicles in her?

No I haven't seen her building follicles. And I already have read the breeding chart, I printed it out and everything. I heard you have to keep pairing them up for about 4 to 5 months, is that true?

Re: Breeding ?
It could take awhile. I started mpairing my pairs up in November, and their eggs were laid in May/june.
