Unknown morph? It looks like a....

I was looking at kingsnake and this guy said this is a unnamed morph.

It looks like an Enchi? What do you think it is?

I have to defend this. I know Casey Lasik the guy who proved this dominant. It is a reduced pattern dominant like spiders. It is 'unnamed' not unknown to be genetic. You can check out Casey's site to see more of it. I don't know the guy selling the snake on kingsnake. It could not be related to Casey's line, but could be. I will not say otherwise. These guys will make cool combos for all the reduced pattern fans out there. :snake:

It looks like a reduced or banded ball python. I don't know if being a different line makes it a whole new morph or not! We actually have a genetic dark morph co-dom reduced male proven breeder that was proven out by Ian G. and sold to us from JNJ. The reduced pattern has several different genetic strands. Some being recessive, some dominate, and some co-dom. I think TSK line is recessive and RDR line is dominate.

Ian G. is a trusted name along with JNJ, so I have no doubt about it being true when they say it is co-dom reduced. Only issue I have is to be co-dom a super (dominate) form has to exist. I can't seem to get Ian G. to respond to requests for what the super form looks like so I guess I will have to wait till I get some female babies that look like him raise them up and breed them back. I'll see the results in probably 3 to 4 years.

Ia it the coloration (bright) or the pattern that they're talking about? If it is the pattern, then I would call it a Spotless. I have a similarly patterned female that threw spotless Spiders and one minimally spotted normal, alongside one partially-spotted (alien headed) normal this year. Yes I do think that this "clean" type of pattern can be passed onto offspring. But if they proved out this snake's father, why not coin a term for it like Spotless?
