My first bullsnake - just shed too!
I picked her up at the reptile super show in san diego in June. She's a yearling, het for white sided. I'm super happy she's nice and docile. she tail rattles when feeding but has never struck at me, although i must admit i was nervous reaching in there for the first time because of their bad reputations:taz:

she eats like a champ, i wanted to get these pictures before she got too much bigger. they're gonna look so cute when she's a monster.

    Bad reputations?

    Theyre all bluff!!!

Best colubrids right there though! Ive got two of these guys, and a third soon enough. :) I couldnt recommend these guys highly enough, they are perfect, easy snakes.

    Dont overfeed!

    Congrats!

They are super easy to take care of; I have one also. Mine is a perfect eater, nice and neat; doesn't play with his food and has never (to this day) attempted to tag.

Still working on getting him used to handling though.:)

I was wondering about this - when i got her, she looked a little small for being a yearling, and i sort of thought the breeder under-fed her to keep her small and cute. Especially since i've read that they can get monster-sized when adults. Since i got her, she's shed 3 times (every 21 days!) - She eats in blue, she eats in her tub, she eats in a different box, she eats and eats and eats. No regurge problems.

i'm feeding her F/T hoppers (they're kinda big for hoppers though) and i usually give her two per feeding, and i'm trying to feed her every 5 days. Do you think this is appropriate for a snake her size? i know i didn't really give anything for you to compare her size to in the picture, but she's probably between a foot and a foot 1/2. I need to weigh her too. I'll try to do this tonight.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions,
    Tony
