Daytona question

This wil be my first visit to a Reptile show so I have a couple questions. Do most of the vendors accept Visa and Mastercard? What types of things might I need cash for? A little late maybe but I just thought I should ask ahead of time to be a little prepared. Thanks! I am really excited and just want to have as many bases covered as possible!

Most do, but surprisingly, a lot don't. I've gone by this one company the past few years and have had a lot of goodies in my hands ready to buy and when I plop it down, they say "oh, we don't accept credit cards" :taz:

I rarely use cash... I hate carrying it around. You can't cancel money if it gets stolen :rolleyes:

I believe there is an ATM in the building (I think!), so you should be able to dash and get some cash if you really need it.

Yeah, but that only works when you have the money!!! I ran out of that stuff a long time ago!

I hear ya on that. We just had to purchase another car, on top of being hit by a few other big bills. I probably shouldn't even go to Daytona, but the husband didn't want me to give up my trip. He wouldn't hear of me cancelling... I think I'll keep him. :love:

There are two ATMs in the Ocean Center but they do run out each day so if you want to play it safe you should bring cash with you. The ATMs there also only allow you to take either $100 or $200 at a time (I forget which) and there is a $2 fee for each withdrawal.

gah! :O yeah i remember that 2 dollar fee. stew-pid.

I'm bringin a bit of cash just to avoid 2 bucks in fees...that's a half gallon of gas!! :D
