bp wanting 2nds

Fed 2 of my year old bps last night, one live mouse each. (housed in seperate tanks)

Tonight one bp was very alert & acting as if he/she was looking for another meal.

Should I feed at times like this?

How big was the food? Also, how much do your snake weigh?

At this point, I'd wait until the next feeding day, and offer two mice instead of one on feeding day. When I was feeding mice, my yearlings were getting 2 mice every 7 days.

Small female mice. Not sure of my bps weight I will get that info soon for any future posts.

I will offer 2 each on the next feeding day then.

I would rather underfeed them then overfeed them. I fed my larger abby the python a medium sized rat once & she did not eat for 2 months after that...learned my lesson

Robin I had to feed f/t mice (instead of rats) the other night. Should I have put both in at the same time? I heated both up and waited until she had swallowed the first one and then immediately offered the second one (still warm) and she sniffed but would not take it.

Should i have put both in at once? Maybe then she would have eaten both?

Nope, I would have offered the same way you did. Sounds like one was enough for her this week!
