Malagasy Giant Hognose - Have or want?
Man, I would love to own one of these guys.
Anyone have them or want?
I know Pat would want one. He wants one of everything. At least. :D

Used to have a trio...they were a lot of fun. I'll probably own them again someday if I can stop putting blood pythons in every empty snake box that pops up... ;)
Definitely an underrated, fun-to-keep critter!

I think they're pretty cool. Of course I don't know much about them, so I'll ask: How hard are they to keep and how big do they get? And is their bluff always bluff like a Western's?
Re: Malagasy Giant Hognose - Have or want?
I used to have a pair as well. They're fairly large colubrids, sometimes getting over 6 ft.
For the most part, they're all bark and no bite, like most hoggies, but occasionally you get a fiesty one. My male was always a little more testy then the female.
Since most are WC imports, you sometimes run into the issue of having tricky eaters to switch to rodents, as these guys generally eat amphibs. But they do this much more readily and are not as problematic as eastern hogs.
I suggest caging typical for a large ratsnake or gopher snake. Aspen shavings or cypress mulch both are good substrates, depending on how well you regulate humidity. Typical colubrid temperature gradient should suffice.
Here are pics of my pair.
