Hmm in the wild what time would a BP emerge from its hiding place?
Im just curious but what time would they i mean do they come out in the evening or the actual night? Hmmm never thought about that before i always thought in the evening...

My own bp's generally don't leave their hides entirely until after complete darkness if there is no food involved. They might stick their heads out at any time. I suspect that it would be the same in the wild.

Mine are usually most active around dusk and dawn -- as I haven't trained them to be - I would bemuse that that is when they are naturally inclined to be rambunctious. :D

I'm not sure that anyone's ever done the kind of wild studies I wish I could find on ball pythons (if they have done anything indepth like that please someone post a link).
From what I understand though of ball pythons in the wild, these are ambush predators - not active hunters. So realistically I doubt they come barrelling out of any burrow they have to race around the area actively hunting prey. If they are anything like my own captive bp's, they probably do the peek out of a safe place and hope dinner wanders by. :) As I said though, this is just a thought as I've not read a really good study on their natural habits.
