How big of a gap between tub and rack shelf?
Im rebuilding one of my racks right now to add more support, I had a book shelf style and now Im supporting the shelves with 2x2's and 1x4's for the legs.

Im using an 1/8 in piece of cardboard for a spacer between the tub and the shelves when Im installing them. The gap looks big to me but I cant even put my pinkie through the gap not even close, its maybe 1/2 the thickness of my pinkie. Do you think 100 gram BP's will be able to squeeze out of it?

Should be fine I would think. You chould always get some pieces of posterboard or something to fill the gap with.

the gap should be big enough for the tub to slide in and out smoothly and like stated above if its too big then you can fill it with a poster board or someother thin cardboard

I used 1/8" pegboard for my spacer and it's perfect. I think only a new hatched corn snake would be able to fit through that space. :) Just make sure you have dowel or bars to block the tubs being pushed forward and you should be good.
