    I have a question.
    Is a fir wood bad substrate for a ball python, i can't find anywhere.

    Yes, Fir is bad wood to use as substrate. Has the same oils as pine and cedar. Steer clear.

    I don't know about fir wood, but fir bark is what is used in those reptile bark substrates, so I would have thought it is ok. Not that it would be the first time the pet industry marketed something that is bad for animals though...
