Milestone

First snake bite. Well, MY snake didn't bite me. But my friend's did. He spilled his water and made a giant mess of his bedroom, so I had to clean it up even though he is supposed to be remaining undisturbed and acclimating to the new home. Took me by surprise! WHAP! He got three teeth into me-- how I don't know. Shouldn't a matching fourth have come into play there somehow? And three tiny little drops of blood which mightily impressed my children.

So I am now a warrior. ;)

Or something. :D

So I finished cleaning up, put him back in, and he has spilled his water again already. He is getting aspen in there tomorrow to soak up the spills.

Nope, I was wrong. SIX teeth into me! Big long gigantic FANGS! Gaping wounds in my hand. HUGE I tell ya.

Oh fine. I could make better wounds with a sewing needle. *sigh* I was hoping for a fabulous scar.

MY hand is *OK* today. Although I am certain that I am not supposed to do dishes. I could get a massive infection or something.

Did I mention there was DRIPPING? And a stain upon my shirt??? As for bravery, I only squeaked when he WHAPped me. Because I was surprised.

And then I looked around to be sure nobody heard me. ;)

LOL i got bit on the thumb by a 1400g + female - That hurt. she hit me right on the nuckle and bruised the bone :(

Wow! Bruised the bone-- that is crazy.

This was funny to me. I don't know why. Maybe because right before he bit me, I was thinking, "Everyone says this is a really sweet snake-- I don't have to be TOO careful." But yes, it is a tiny wound. I think my finger would hurt more from testing for blood sugar. Anyhow I am getting a lot of mileage out of it. My husband is afraid of snakes so he was REALLY shocked and awed. :D
