    PetCo rant
Just received 1000 1/8th size crickets today from PetCo....Infested with ants! I spent about an hour with a pencil smashing the little buggers and wow was that a chore trying to kill the ants and not the crickets. I imagine their were 40 to 50 ants. At first I thought maybe the ants had gotten in while they sat outside my house for about an hour, but the more I inspected the plastic container that they came in, the more I'm convinced that they came with them. I also received 1000 3/8th size crickets and there were no ants in their container.
Well, just wanted to rant.....rant over....lol

We adopted two kittens from pet co a while back... both had colds. One had herpes or something like that, did not start up until after the week after the free vet visit ended. No more adoptions from petco. They could have at least disclosed this before we adopted.

not trying to stick up for pet co but those kittens didnt come from "pet co" they are just housed there. they are kept and cared for by diff animal rescues. pet co donates the space.

Yep that's true. It should be a local rescue that brings in the kitties to be displayed in their store. I've gotten 2 cats from there, and I would do it again. My Petsmart rescue is very responsible and fixes them, and also treats them with up to date with shots.

My only gripe so far is the ring worm from our latest kitty! LOL (Chris has it again too.... >.<)

I got the info 2nd hand, so I am not sure what the actual diagnosis was, but the bill was a bit expensive and the visit was a bit unexpected.

Yeah, that is true, they came from the animal shelter, so it was not quite petco, but would have been nice to know if the kittens where sick so I could be better prepared for the bill. But they are doing better now and that is what matters :)
