    Bulbs are not worth it

Use a UTH (under tank heating) pad.

Just make sure you have a thermostat.

A 100w bulb is only really suitable for a lizard. For a snake, a 25 or 40w is plenty.

For main heating, always go with the UTH or heat tape, since snakes gather heat from below more than above. :) Especially BPs. And always be sure you have a thermostat to control the heat source.
Human heating pads are NOT a good idea, since they are not designed to be on ALL the time. They're great for emergencies or to heat a holding tub, but not good for home enclosure heating. Look into getting an Ultratherm pad, Flexwatt heat tape, or a ZooMed UTH. Size should be enough to cover 1/3 the bottom of your enclosure.

A 100w is more than enough.I have one on a dimmer and rarely use it over half power. Its on a 40g breeder with UTH.I use it to up ambient temps when I have the a/c cranked.

Also, I don't remember if anyone has mentioned this in any of your threads yet, but most people find it is easier to keep a BP in a plastic tub (like the storage containers they well at Walmart) instead of in a glass tank. It is MUCH easier to control the temps and humidity, unbreakable, and because it weighs less it is easier to handle when you need to clean it out. It costs less too.
