...if your a Kansas City Chiefs fan...
...one benefit I have found with living in Minnesota is that I am less than an hour from the Chiefs training camp in river falls Wisconsin! :gj: So last night my wife and I went out to the training camp and got some autographs. Combined we got 15 autographs...many of those unproven rookies....BUT...I was able to fight thru a crowd and get Dwayne Bowe's sig.
Here are a couple of pics to show how close they were...it was a lot of fun, and many of the rookies didnt have much of a crowd around them as some of the bigger names...Tony G was at rockstar status...he is the heimlich hero! :P But it was fun to be able to stand there and talk to many of these guys outside of the stadium...
sorry for the poor quality...these were taken with my camera phone...
Here is Will Franklin...gives you an idea just how close we were...this is my phone zoomed all the way out. :)

And here is d-bo...he had that rockstar status too...but I wanted to get some big name players name....here is a picture of him and the crowd around him...I was in the middle of the crowd at this point...then had to put the camera away and throw some 'bo's [no pun intended] :P

A great nite, except for the fact that Glen Dorsey sprained his knee at the very end
Re: ...if your a Kansas City Chiefs fan...
NICE!!! I remember when I was younger my dad would take me to William Jewel College where they use to hold their training camp.
Re: ...if your a Kansas City Chiefs fan...
Chiefs fan here. I'm also a Bengals fan, but come Dec, I'll be cheering for the Chiefs at Paul Brown Stadium. Yep.
I'm sure that was a lot of fun....quite envious here.
Even though it's just training camp....how did the "rebuilt" offense look that night?? Particularly that line. KCChiefs.com will sugar coat the sh!!, of course, so I'm curious to hear things from a fan as opposed to a paid employee.
Actually, I'm looking forward to the future. Just a couple more yrs and Carl and his buddy will be gone!! Then hopefully, the organization will do it right.....
If you go to any more practices, keep me posted. Would love to hear how things are going.
Re: ...if your a Kansas City Chiefs fan...
..haha...ya Im a huge fan...I just got married at arrowhead :P
...the practice we saw were just skill drills....not many O vs D scrimmages...I mainly went and watched the D-line drill so I could see Dorsey...and I think he was showing off for us :P ...he is not the biggest guy...but he is QUICK...WOW!...the boy can move!...but then he twisted his knee....:(
...as for our O-line...it doesnt help B. Albert is hurt now...and the line being so young, we will take a year just to gel...which is good because Hermroid Edwards and Queen Carl will be gone.
...so I dont think this will be our year...but I think the 09-10 season we could be contenders....
...prolly the most exciting thing I have seen is B.C. can run the bootleg, so Chan Gailey has thrown some bootleg plays in the playbook and BC is executing them...
...another fun sight was seeing BC audible at the line. No huddle, he would read the D, and the switch the play up...very fun.
...oh and our DB's such as Brandon Flowers are flat out sick...Brandon can fly....and they all are hungry, so I think you are going to see our secondary step up...
I dont see why our D couldnt be ranked top 10 this year, we were average last year in the league.
The question will be how long will it take for our o-line to gel and to see if BC can play behind a younger line.
GO CHIEFS!!!! :salute:

raider season ticket holder here, I love to see them battle the cheifs two times a year. No matter how good or bad either team is they always play each other like its the superbowl.:snake:
