Funny feeding story

I feed my snakes on Thursdays so I can handle them on Sundays. Yesterday was feeding day so I came home with 5 mice for my snakes. I put a mouse in the tub for my oldest and started to lower my snake into the tub. I noticed he looked pretty excited as he saw the mouse while I was still holding him. The little turd couldnt wait to be lowered in all the eay before he struck. I was holding him about halfway down and his tail. When he struck, he grabbed the mouse and rolled up. lol. I ended up having a ball of snake in my hand with a soon to be swallowed mouse. He finished the meal in my hand and I put him back in his enclosure. He was happy as could be! I was a little nervous, though. lol

I would have flipped out! OMG! I can see snake flying across the room like that poor turtle did years back when my son hand fed it. Poor thing! LOL

Ive had mine do that but it was the other way around the snake was in the tub and i was on my way down to the tub to put the rat in it nailed the rat like 2 feet out of its tub it was great, made me feel good to see a REALLY strong feeding response. :D
