    shed/growth rate corelation?
my question is, is there any corelation to the growth rate and sheds of a BP.. meaning to say if you have an undersized BP and "power feed" them to get them back to a healthy size would it be unusual to see multiple sheds in a month? possibly even spread a week or 2 apart? also the irridesence you see in the skin is what many refer to as the bluing stage.. correct? which usually happens before the shed correct? so if i am correct in that is it unusual to see the irridesence after a shed? thanks

    Hi,

    Good questions. :gj:

While shedding is an integral part of growing they can also shed for other reasons such as healing and as part of the reproductive cycle (I think ).

Just feeding the correct amount on a good healthy schedule would probably be better for an underfed Bp. You certainly should feed a few small meals at first to ease their system into normal operations.

Here is a great thread on the shedding process.

And the irridecence is at its best just after they shed for me - a perfect time to take those pictures we need. ;)
