All kinds of questions about racks/heat..advice appreciated
Alright, I have quite a few questions I guess I've been saving up, any advice would be greatly appreciated and Ill list just to make it easier on the eyes..Thanks again.
I have snakes that require different heating and such (look at my sig), so if I had a few different snakes in a rack like a black milksnake and ball python which require different temperatures, how would I be able to adjust the heat in each tub, or can you not and all the animals in the tub would need the same temps?
In a rack, do the thermostats just have a prob in one tub and that will keep the other tubs the same temperature?
If you are using paper as a substrate such as newspaper, is there a temperature limit before it may burn or anything?
Any racks recommended for carpet pythons? Im looking at getting another one or 2 at the show and eventually will need some bigger enclosures?
Any other tips or advice would be greatly greatly appreciate, thanks again everyone.

well if like the ones temps are 85-90 and ones are 88-98 then you could set it at 90
and no if it is controlled by a tstat then no melting or fire :D

thanks I see what you mean
Re: All kinds of questions about racks/heat..advice appreciated
you can get a herpstat that has 4 probs that you can set at 4 diff temps http://spyderrobotics.com/products/herpstatpro.html or one with 2 probs that you can set at 2 diff temps http://spyderrobotics.com/products/herpstat2.html. so you could use one of these if you need to be more exact on rather than the 90 middle temps. and as for fire b4 the paper gets hot enough to catch fire you would have one very fried snake. but do watch your heat source as fires from shorts have and can happen.
