Does your BP pee like a Rushing Race Horse?
I'm just curious, cause the big boy we got in June goes like he is watering the lawn or something. Once a week, it appears he soaks the newspapers in a 32 qrt Sterilite Tub.

Does anyone else have a BP that does that? I'm just curious and venting cause i came home to spend my lunch break cleaning out his tub. Gawd does it stink.

Yep, my bigger snakes do that!! Except, mine usually do it during the night time so I can clean it all up before coffee in the morning ;)

See i thought that too, the first time. the past 4 times, his water bowl is upright and still full of water. :confuzd:

I'm using the trick i learned about while reading these forums, the 3" PVC Coupler with an 8oz Deli Cup. He has only knocked it over once... Which was when he shed and poo'd and pee'd over the entire tub. i'm still trying to figure out how he soaked the lid a couple of times.

Not to hijack, I'll stay somewhat on topic...:D

Do the larger/older snakes produce just urine or urates too? How 'bout the little ones - I've only had to clean up urates.:confuzd:

My little one has very little liquids. the big one seems to think its a game to see how wet he can get everything.

mine pees a whole lot. it doesn't help that he pees in his hide right on top of the UTH. newspaper isn't the most absorbent either so it goes right through it . theres time where i come home and the cage has water droppings all over the sides from evaporating pee causing to raise humidity.

Depending on what kind of substrate you have, it is likely there is plenty of pee if not some with those urates it just evaporates and absorbs into the substrate. With the scott shop towels I use, the blue tint to it turns green and it is very noticeable.

Thats funny that this was brought up. My husband was just holding our 1 yr old snake yesterday and it started "wagging" his tail. We thought it was really cute until a raging stream of pee came shooting out!

My big Levi loves soaking his tub right after I clean it out.

Also not to hijack, but missi182 those shop towels were a great suggestion and I use them religiously! :D
