Mean Children's Python...
i got a little childrens python for free from a person who said it was evil...
it would bite you at least 3 times every time you picked it up...
and its attitude never dulled down....
BUT, ive been feeding it mice, and i decided to get it to eat a rat pup...
and, now she seems to be really mellow and accually handlable...
has anyone heard of a snake who is angry and then it eats a rat and POOF! nice snake?
i dont know if she has been nice just a few days, but i think she has changed for good....
Re: Mean Children's Python...
I have a small Children's python. When it is hungry it is always waiting for food and ready to immediately strike. The person that I bought him from gave him mouse pinkies and he seemed to be perpetually hungry. I switched him right away to fuzzies and he eats once a week and is calm like a ball python. I read that many baby Children's are nippy though.
Re: Mean Children's Python...
with mine, its like she has a mental issue...
but i think the previous owner treated her like she was HOT.
becuase, she owns hots and she told me that she used a hook to push its head down so it didnt bite her...
but i hope that she relizes im a better/new owner and starts to lighten up lol
Re: Mean Children's Python...
I have a pair of Children's pythons......one is a sweet snake, the other is devil incarnate...
Sometimes you just get snakes that don't like to be handled...they are wild animals after all :)

I think they mean that snakes are far off from domestication, therefore giving them no different characteristics from a wild caught ball python compared to a wolf and a dog. ;]
Hm.. I never really thought about it at all.

yeah i know what they meant...
ive had a anrgument with my step, grandma
about keeping snakes...
she says they were willd at one time and anything wild shouldn be kept....
well i explained about breeding and she didnt care, and then i said...
"so your going to get rid of your dogs, because they were wild at one time too"
lol
Re: Mean Children's Python...
I had a nice childrens python male, now I have a pair of mean spotteds, look about the same but not the attitude...the female will bite anything that moves but the male is so so depending on the day, cleanliness of my hands, phase of the moon...I have no idea. :D
