Could he be a she?

We've had him for a few years now and always assumed he was male since that's generally what you get in pet stores, but I was noticing that he seems very long. Not that I'm planning on breeding or anything, just curious if I need to make his name more feminine! :rolleyes:

we won't be able to tell you from just a photo.... he/she will have to be sexed by a vet or somebody in the hobby that knows how to do it!

You may see people state "are you sure that's not a female?" or "that looks like a female" when looking at adults. Generally females are much thicker than males, so when one sees a particularly thick ball python, it's "more possible" it's a female.

Not knowing your feeding schedule for sure, but assuming he's on a weekly diet of rodents, and a few years old, I'd say he looks more slender than most females that are a few years old.

But, I agree, the only way you'll know for sure is to have someone probe or pop him/her for you!
