    Humidity too high?
I have a tank setup with a small water bowl and foil covering most of the screen top. The humidity has been pretty high lately, running 80 to 85, primarily because of the climate here.

Is it bad for the humidity to be that high for days on end? Should I remove the foil at the top to try to drop the humidity when she is not in shed? I don't want her to get a RI or something. There is no mold or moisture building up that I can see, her tank is clean, it is just humid here in the summer.

The more air flow the better, in my opinion, especially if it won't hurt your humidity levels. I would think removing some of the foil would be a good idea, at least until you get to about 60%.

Im not here to give an answer, instead I have the same question.
Humidity here is between 65% - 75%. So you just beat me to the question. So, sorry for piggybacking:oops:

You guys might also want to check the humidity in the room. If the room humidity is 65%, you might as well get used to the idea of 65% humidity in the cage. ;)

I wouldn't worry too much if you have good circulation in the cage and see no signs of condensation or mold.

You can also use a smaller water dish to help lower humidity as well.

A part-time lamp in those very humid months may helps. At least to get humidity where it should be as needed
