RI or not?

so my snake, mr. problematic has intrigued me again. He has been more active in the last 3 days then he ever has since i got him. though ive noticed he sits with his head pointed up alot. Ive reasearched this a bit and its similar to what many snake keepers labeled as "stargazing." however i listened to him breathing and heard no raspyness or labored breathing. is this a true sign of a RI or just something snakes do? in addition he does "yawn" alot.

Given the different symptoms I would highly recommend you to find an herp vet and have your BP checked.

When he yawns do you ever see any frothy/ bubbly mucous (sp??) in his mouth and see anything slimed along the cage furniture or in the water bowl?

Can you hear any clicks, pops, wheezes or anything if you hold your ear up to his side when he's breathing?

It's not unusual to hear the odd noise if your handling them (sometimes you/they compress their lungs during movement) but if you start to hear anything when he's not breathing heavily or anything thats a good warning sign.

Does he have his mouth open slightly a lot of the time or have a kind of "pouchy" look to the skin under his jaw and throat or anything like that?

no bubbly or frothiness, no slime and he never is "panting" or leaving his mouth half open. I have held him to my ear, and even used a stethoscope nothing sounds odd with his breathing as far as i can tell. If it helps he has been like this since i got him, and has not deteriorated or gotten worse in any fashion.
