Love the lion, to me there number 1 in the animal kingdom, but wasnt the whole purpose to get the lion back to being wild. Kind of defeats the purpose to go back and do that. Oneday one of these people that think these cats are toys are going to pay a big price. Dont get me wrong I think its great to help the lion get back to where it belongs, but they should have let nature take its course, and observe the lion from a distance as to not interfear with its progress.:taz:

They weren't there to interfere - but to observe him from a distance - he recognized them and ran to them.

I understand what your saying but you see this all the time, number 1 the grizzly diaries, the man didnt belong there and what happened to him, also dragged his girlfriend into it. These are wild animals that deserve to be left alone. Sorry i just dont agree with that. Now you have a lion who remembers people, what happens if he runs like that to a game warden?

That was cool. I think it still took a lot of guts to stand there and HOPE this lion remembered you. It is kinda sad he was never seen again. But I liked how they returned him to the wild where he belonged.
