DISGUSTING Store!!!!

Ok Begin Rant Here:


I went down to Carson yesterday for my GF's family party thingy. On our way, I say, "hey lets stop at THAT reptile shop!".

We stop, and it is 11:00 and they dont open til 12. Ok thats cool, we went and ate, mobbed around some stores, came back at 12 not open....

I call them....

Wow that guy was really really nice and helpful. LOL

So we go into the store, and are immediately greeted by the stench, yes stench of snake feces.

After the stench greeted us, some guy with soaking wet hair busts through the door screaming profanities at the top of his lungs.

Looked at the first snake, and his entire left side of his mouth was open, with a huuuuge black scab...yay mouthrot!!!

Looked at the second snake and saw hundreds of mites, yes...hundreds.

Third cage was baby Sav's, 2 of which were definitely dead.....

Thats IT I was leaving. Start walking out and I notice that they are packing reptiles up to take to some sort of "party". The same guy that was cussing like a sailor on leave, now had a jumbo rat (LIVE) and just tossed it into the poop filled super tiger retic cage.

He tells the guy that was packin up a RTB, "ahhh dont take that one, take the big mean, just make sure you hold it by the head".

So he literally picked up this 12 foot burm BY THE HEAD and put it in a very small rubbermade container.

That is when I left.

I was so appalled by that store, THAT I WILL NEVER GO BACK!

I honestly just could not believe the condition that the store was in.

now go call the health dept and get them shut down. Ok I cant think of their name right now LOL You know the one you report things like this too.

yeah, that definitely has to be breaking some kind of codes! If you're not sure who to call, I'd just call the local police station- they should be able to tell you who to contact.

Hope you sprayed your clothes and shoes down with Provent a mite when you got home bro...

Yep I'd definitely call whatever humane society covers that area as well as the health department (leaving numerous dead animals lying out on the sales floor has got to be some sort of health code violation one would think). Let them know you intend to follow up and expect this situation to be resolved quickly. That's just disgusting Pat and I commend you for walking out without getting into it with the idiots who ran the place. That must have taken some willpower but it's better to make the authorities deal with him and get this poor creatures out of that hell.

That'd be a good place to start! I'm so used to small town WI I forget most places have ASPCAs! Haha!

I would be ranting too! I would have said something, before I left.
That makes me ill, seeing that they don't take care of the pets, or the place. Ugh, yuk. I would def be contacting someplace to shut them down.

ASPCA...but you have to follow up with them...and check in on the store. They're pretty over worked.

Yeah...gross and sad. =(
