    Humidity??
The humidity in my container is 40 at the top and just under 50 at the bottom. I live in california by the beach and it gets really dry. I was told to spray the container. So i mist it but it only helps for about 30min of 50% humidity. I cant be there to mist all the time. I added fir and it helped when I first added it but now its dry and the humidity keeps wanting to go to 40%, sometimes lower.

What can I do to raise humidity to 50-60% and keep it there?

Well, first you can tell us about your enclosure. Tub or tank? If a tank, do you have the lid foil treated? There are quite a few things that affect humidity... if you tell us what you have set up, we can better help you out. :D

the outside humidity where i live in the summer stays around 50-60 and without lights on it the tank it gets around 70 but with the lights on it burns off to about 55-60. so over all my humidity is between 50 and 60 in the day with no misting and around 70 in the night is this ok?? it will lower as soon as fall rolls in, but i just wanted to check.

The humidity is under 50% right now. Its doing this thing that looks like yawning. I dont know if thats normal or not what is it?

The 'yawning' is resetting the jaw. If they do it a lot, tho, it could signal respiratory problems.

As for the treatment, I'll send you my pictoral step by step instructions via PM since they're LONG. :) We'll get that tank going right, or I'm not the Tank Queen! :D

for a tank.. toss a damp towel on top of the tank.. and use cypris mulch mixed in with aspen for bedding.. and spray the tank every other day! your good to go!

Damp towels aren't the best, since you have to bleach them constantly to keep the bacteria at bay. The foil treatment works wonders for glass tanks.

    And thanks, Starmom :D
