    Some post-shed questions...
I have a few questions for all you possibly older and most certainly wiser folks.

My bp Cali shed sometime yesterday. We had gone to weigh her and she was looking cloudy, so we quickly put her back in her enclosure, let her be, and bumped up her humidity. When we pulled out the old her, it appeared to be all in one piece (eye caps, full tail, no missing scales, etc), which I am very pleased about being that it is her first shed in my care.

My questions are in regards to handling and feeding. I seem to recall reading that they are often hungry after a shed. I also seem to recall reading that I should avoid handling her for a few days, as her new skin might be all sensitive. But unforunately I can't seem to locate either of these facts in previous posts, so I thought I'd just ask if either (or both) of them are true. Any thoughts?

I would stay on her normal feeding schedule. If there's a reason not to handle after shedding, I've never heard of it!

I agree with Melanie. I feed Furio on his normal day after shed and after he's shed... I can't help but take him out and admire him :)

In the instant after shedding, they may be a bit sensitive to touch and squirm a little...but that's about it. Keep to as normal a feeding schedule as you can (some skip meals in shed) and handle as you would. :)
