    While out and about today we picked up a live mouse for Salazar and we are going to try and get him to eat it today... I will let you guys know how it goes

    good luck and be careful. my baby boy got a huge cut yesterday from a live mouse. :(

    Just be sure to watch the mouse from the second you put it in the enclosure to the time it is being swallowed to make sure it doesnt scratch your snake.

    I never have had a problem feeding live.

    Salazar is interested and is following him around. He struck once and missed but it was because he was hanging on the edge of the water dish. I'm keeping an eye on them to make sure nobody gets hurt and if he doesn't eat by tonight I will take him out... Not really sure what to do with the mouse if he doesn't eat.

    It's only been a week since I've got him so that could be a reason for him not eating, or maybe the mouse is too big... Any ideas?

    whatever you do do not take your eyes off the snake while that mouse is alive and in the same enclosure. your snake could get really hurt. try dangling the mouse by the tail in front of the snake till the snake gets mad and kills it just for being mad.
