Here is the thermometer you want:

Can be found at WalMart, Lowes, Target for @$13 or so. Usually in the garden or home decor sections.

A thermostat would have to be found online. The best places are:
ZooMed ReptiTemp (cheap but works) - ReptileSupply.com @$21
    Johnson or Ranco (on/off good quality) - ReptileBasics.com $80
    Herpstat (proportional best quality) - beanfarm.com @$110+
    Helix (proportional top quality) - ReptileBasics.com @$135+

Yep, try different sections. Sometimes it's in garden, sometimes it's near the lightbulbs and bathroom stuff. :)

Oh, and actually GO to WalMart. WalMart.com is crappy and they only show maybe half the stuff they carry...if that. I know since I would try to look something up I had just seen at the store to double check and it was nowhere to be found online.

Also try home improvement places like Lowes and Home Depot. I sometimes get mine there for LESS than WalMart!

Also, don't be afraid to ask someone to help you find it. :)
At the Walmart here, they stock those next to the paint, of all things!
