Kara how do you do it?
When I saw your table at Tinley last year you had some baby ball pythons hatching out. I was curious how you got them there and how you kept them at the right temps etc... so they could hatch at your booth? Is it a secret?

I know how they get them there, because I traveled six hours with two clutches of eggs within days of their hatching, with her great advice. I basically got a styro cooler, some 60 hour heat packs, and a digital thermometer with the probe inside the egg boxes and the read out on the outside.

The eggs stayed toasty warm, and they hatched without incidence at my parents house (they were my very first clutches, and I was not about to let a vacation let me miss their hatching).

I also know that they have lamps shining on them at the shows that generates heat. I'm not sure if they have heat under their displays though. Those last few days, they're pretty much done with their development, and are more tolerant of temp fluctuations.

I saw that too - I remember seeing a heat pack in the container with the eggs.

Pretty cool - I think they were some of those super secret babies ......
