    My new rack....
This is me new rack I built out of 5/8 OSB with 5 coats of polyurethane on it...

    wood was $30
    polyurethane $15 for a gallon
    screws $5
    hardboard $10

Yes I know I need a backup thermostat, I have one on the way and will wire it in but here it is... I also did some calculations wrong and i can put another shelf on top, Im going to do this in the near future

Looks cool... but OSB is not the greatest choice of wood. If using regular wood and not Melamine, you should have used high grade plywood instead. OSB isn't really meant to hold up for long.

Well, enjoy it while you've got it. :)

Osb is used for roofs, and for siding on houses, the stuff holds up for a long time, most of the time that wood doesnt hold up is when it isnt sealed with somthing like polyurethane and moisture seeps in then it bows and bends...

Also I got the thickest stuff they had 5/8..... also the wood is not that big of a deal, most of the cost that goes into a rack is tubs heaters and thermostat, if the wood poops out on me its easily replaced.

Its a lot stronger than melamine particle board and everyone uses that.,...

Agreed. House floors are made of OSB and exposed to the elements.

    Melamine is garbage anyway.

    Nice job.
