Kratos here, wow! I registered almost a week ago, just because I am interested in owning a Ball Python since I was a kid. In fact I am getting one next week, hopefully!:P I was suppose to purchase one BP two weeks ago, but ever since I registered here to learn more about BP, it took me days to read a lot of threads relating to husbandry and even enclosure set up. Considering they will live a long time, I should be prepared. I also changed my mind and will be getting one from a breeder. :gj:

    :welcome: to the site :colbert2:

Sounds like you are doing everything the right way - plan first purchase second. :gj:

Best tip I can give you is have the enclosure set up and running for as long as possible before adding the animal just to check everything is working as planned. :)

That is AMAZING advice. For me hindsight is always 20/20. I went all wrong. I didn't have the enclosure ready for my BP when I brought her home and really wished I had. Everything is good now but it was rough for a bit.

GOOD LUCK!!! And use the ppl in these forums. They will help tremendously!!!!

Welcome to Herp World! Prepare to be fully addicted. :D

Kudos to you for researching and prepping first!! Get that enclosure all set up and running right before you even contact the breeder and just keep reading threads here. :)

Also, I gather from your name that you're a VGamer? Please correct me if I'm wrong, of course. :)

Oh, it isn't just 'really' addicting...it's incredibly addicting!! :D

And I thought so. ;) I watched GOW and GOWII at least twice each while my BF played through... he's working on being a designer.
