oh my gosh oh my gosh!!! could use some help
    ok could use some help.

during the move from GA to AZ my snakes got out of there bags... I didn't think much of it because I had 2 "females", WRONG!!

I'm looking at 8 eggs from Big Mama.

She is still coiled around them and they are warm right now, i have hatch right and a Sterilite small tub but how many holes if any do I need to add to the tub and what not... I simply need a quick crash course in eggs.

I feel like such a dumb #$@% right now and I want to kick myself but the eggs need help so I'm coming to you all for guidance. Will post photos in a few.

    thank you thank you !!!

    Jessie,

Hopefully you've had the incubator running so that it's up to temp (incubate at about 89-90). If not - it's not going to hurt to leave eggs with mom until it's running and you're certain that there are no temp fluctuations.

No holes in the egg box. Gently transfer the eggs to your eggbox with the Hatchrite, put some Glad Press & Seal over the top of the box, then add the lid.

I like to have my thermostat probe inside one of my egg boxes (got this tip from Kev and Kara).

    Good luck!

No I had no clue that she was even gravid. but every thing is running smoothly thus far. here are some photos I took. I have no clue if the eggs are even alive. They all could be slugs. When would be a good time to candle them?

Yes, I would candle them to check for veins. A small flashlight works well.

Good luck, Jessie!! I'm not any sort of expert, but the egg she's "rolled out" looks like a slug. But it sure would be exciting, if it isn't.

    Best wishes floating your way.

yeah I'm thinking the same thing too. I guess only time will tell.

Edit: looks as if she did slug out. The all the eggs but one have turned yellow-ish.

I dont think it was due to being under weight, maybe over weight. she is a huge girl. I'll try for next year though with my pastel. I wanted to shoot for this year but I had no clue that she was gravid.

must have been when we were in Texas when they both out out of the bags while in a rubbermade tub I had.

They actually all kinda look like slugs... from the lighting.

Candle them to be sure, but the roll out is for sure a slug.

checked on them again and all but one are slugs. the 8th one is still healthy white but I dont want to mess with it. if it makes it the next few days then I'll candel it again.

    The rest are now brown.
