kinda lost my BP

My one year old ball python got out of his tank a few hours a go and I cannot find him ANYWHERE. Can anyone tell me where a good place is to look for him? I put a mouse in a little cage for him to smell and for me to try to get him back into his cage. Is their another thing I can do to find him?

If there is absolutely no way he could get out of the room, which I really doubt, check all the dark spots, droors, inside the beds boxspring, warm spots. Thats all I can really say, dark or warm areas.

id say get a tub deep enough to were the rodent cant escape and put a heating pad on the lowest setting under the tub,and a hide in the tub.that is if you dont find it.it seems most of the time someone loses one they find it relatively fast,good luck!

couch cushions, behind the refrigerator, behind microwave. your BP has gone somewhere where they are snug and warm.....

Search the threads...there's gobs of "where is he"s with lots of helpful suggestions.

Try cooling down the entire house, except for your "snake room". He'll gravitate to the warmer room. Put flour down along the walls and across doorways, so if he slithers thru, you can get an idea which direction he's going.

Even if you think it's too small a space, check there! Don't forget to look UP...they can crawl up the bookcase shelves. We've had our corn hiding under the small gaps of the rat cages, lost in the laundry left on the floor (my daughter's room) and once in her school backpack....very cold, but he was in there.

Be sure to double check the bedding. I've thought a time or two that our Kenyan escaped, but she was so small, I had missed her in the bedding...another time she was squeezed up IN the rim of the lid of the tank.

I lost one for 6 weeks one time. I jsut stoped looking and he finally came to me :).
