How do I know they are OK?
So, I haven't been around a lot lately (I have very limited internet access for the summer...I'm having bp.net withdrawal...haha) Anyway, I have my first clutch in the incubator and I'm really paranoid and worried...being a first timer and all.

How do I know if they are ok? I've been incubating at a pretty steady 89-90 degrees. I was having some humidity problems with one egg that wasn't all the way in the substrate, but it seems to be ok. It is day 43, and I was wondering what should be happening? Should I be seeing little snakes when I candle them?
They all candled fertile after about a week in the incubator.

Likewise, what will be happening if something is wrong? Will they rot and mold? How long would that take? I think I'm just freaking myself out...but any words of wisdom are greatly appreciated!

Day 43....nothing to exciting usually happens...I think anxiety is gettin the best of ya right now...but this is very common with BP keepers! :gj:

If you candle them and see veins....you should be doing fine...:)

    'BUT'

If you could provide pictures....we could prolly be more help...

    Good Luck! :salute:

PS. What are the parents of the clutch? :D

Yep, they get moldy pretty fast when they go bad. It sounds like they're doing fine. :gj:

They all still have veins, but some of them seem to have less veins then they orginally did? Maybe I'm just imagining it....idk This is a normal to a mojave....I really don't want to try and get any pictures. I'm so nervous with them! I don't even move them to candle them...I'll get some if you think its really necessary..:D

    How about this:

IF they look like they did when you put them INTO the incubator,

    THEY ARE FINE

IF they look like they are collapsing on themselves, and things are growing off it in colors like blue, green, brown, grey and white...

    THEY ARE BAD.

:D Good luck. Sounds like you have nothing to worry about

The last week is the hardest....... I have a clutch on day 49 and the urge to check on them constantly is VERY strong. Keep holding your breath until day 51 - 52......

    Cheers,

If you pick them up and candle them you will notice the bottom is dark and you cannot see inside. You also may see them start to dimple. Good luck and keep us updated! My MojavexNormal eggs are at day 45 I can't wait!

Ok, thanks! I feel a little better. When I candle them, its dark on the bottom and I can't see inside. Also, they are dimpling a little (just started yesterday). Thanks again! I don't know how I'm going to make it two more weeks....haha
