    Horse People, I need opinions....
Ok, so for my Honors Thesis to graduate with my bachelors, I am doing a poster of Most Overlooked but Important Horse Expressions. Ok, so that isn't the title, but it will be something akin to that.:P

    So here is my question:
What, in your opinion, is an expression that horses make that is most overlooked or rarely noticed by people?

My first drawing was of the look of chronic pain....it can be overlooked easily as "lazy" or "sleepy". The key is the lackluster look of the eyes and how the nose is pulled upwards in a slit.

Another one I will probably do is the look a horse gets when it eats something new.

    Any other ideas?

How about the look they get when they are shutting down/ dissociating? They look steady and calm but they are actually letting their mind go completely elsewhere... Far away eye, no warmth in the eye...

Hm.. how about the look of overgrown feet? Most laypeople would not notice an overgrown foot unless it got so bad that it was curled up like an elf shoe. However this is really not an expression, sorry :)

How about the look of a drugged horse at an auction? I can't tell you all the people who have bought this "great" horse at the sale barn that suddenly changes once they're on the farm

Sorry, I honestly can't think of anything else.....
