Pac Man Not Eating
Picked up a little pacman frog at a show on Saturday and so far have had no luck getting him to eat. This is my first pacman, so I have nothing to compare him to. His humidity is 75% and his temperature is about 80% (with temp gun). He moves about a little bit, but mostly stays in one spot, which doesn't worry me too much since I've read that's pretty much the extent of their activity. He's not interested in the crickets or waxworms. Wonder if the crickets are too small? The little frog weighs 6.5 grams. How long can he go without eating? Everything I've read says juveniles should eat every day. Naturally, I'm already starting to worry. :tears:
Thanks,
Robbin

Just give him some more time to settle in. They can take a couple of weeks or more sometimes to get adjusted to their new homes. nothing to worry about at this point.:)

Re: Pac Man Not Eating
Thanks so much! I found Frog Freaks through one of your previous posts and got some good info over there as well. The general opinion seems to be that he just needs to get adjusted. The good news is that since I started this thread I got him to take one wiggly waxworm from the tongs. Couldn't convince him to take the second one, but at least I know he's not starving right now.
I appreciate your reply...:D

I had the exact same problem. I was shocked because I had heard how much they love to eat and thought I was doing something wrong. After about 3 days I took him out of his viv and put him in a tub with nothing but him and a waxworm and left the room for 30 minutes. When I came back the worm was gone. I then tried to feed him another with a pair of tongs and he took it. Since then he's been great, but yeah, yours is probably just settling in still.
