    Interior Design Suggestion
K, here is my living room and I am going to get curtains this week but need a color suggestion for them.

    Suggestions?

I was thinking maybe khaki. Not sure though.

God my living room looks so small in this pic. lol

Something similar in coloration to the wood furniture perhaps.

    Or a darker green.

I'd go with the dark green.. drapes match the carpets!

OR you can go something of a color that matches maybe the pillows on your couch... something that blends.

A light green, a dark green, a tan...
Maybe that red in there? Or a patterned one... It'll just be tougher to find the exact right one if it has more colors.

Unless this is a bedroom and darker/smaller is okay, I wouldn't suggest dark green curtains right away.

What is the purpose of the curtains? Privacy (can't really see through them, but they let light through), light blocking (as in for a bedroom), or just decorative? Do you want to try to "open up" the space or is small and cozy where you want to go?

I would suggest some light, airy sage green curtains to match the couch. I think heavy, dark curtains would make the room look tiny!

I honestly want them up to make the room darker to keep it a bit cooler.

Thank for the tips though. Appreciated!

I would pull a color out of the pillow too. Maybe one of the more neutral ones.

I would get a color darker than the walls for contrast so to accent them. It could be a gold, brown, purple, red, green(but dont clash greens).

I vote the sage green from the chair, with a hem of the burnt orange tacked or fabric glued to the bottom hem, or down the front of the curtains.... then I'd get a wall hanging in the same burnt orange to go across from the window... or maybe paint the mirror frame in the dark orange... or perhaps an area rug in dark orange to go under the coffee table... break up the dark green some...
just my coin on the matter! ;)
