Determining Age

I wanted to figure out about how old Salazar (Ball Python) is. We just got him from the pet store today and of course the people there had no idea how old he is. I would say he about 1.5-2' long and he weighs about 4 ounces.

Two feet long and 4 ounces (113 grams)?? Are you sure it's a Ball Python and not a Cornsnake? ;)

It sounds like it was hatched last year or early this year, but it's practically impossible to tell the age of a snake because they grow at different rates depending on genetics and how often and the quantity of food that they eat.

Maybe he isn't that long lol.... I'll have to figure it out when I feed him later

Looks like a baby to me. I would guess about five or six months or so. But that's just a wild guess. I have a seven month old that's bigger than a five year old... (well not anymore) so it's really hard to tell from a picture.

Ok I got better pictures and a video... I also was able to measure him and he is 18"
