    R.I.P. little cornsnake
I bought this gal in March replacing my deceased cornsnake who got a weird bloated stomach. Well this did have a problem regurging, but then I started giving her half pinks and gradually moving up. I was all happy, but then it suddenly stopped eating. Today I was about to feed it, dangled the mouse next to the hide where I saw its head peering out and I got no reaction. when I lifted it it was dead. :(

I don't know what's up, I seem to have no good luck with cornsnakes. My RTB and Ball python are both doing fine and they are supposedly a tad bit "harder" to care for. The famous beginner snake is the one I have trouble with. I don't think I will get another cornsnake.

I won't post the pictures on this site.

I've had some bad luck with corn snakes myself. But third time was the charm, don't give up!
Try getting an older corn, a healthy looking fat one. ;]

I'm sorry for your loss. My first corn had a major intestinal problem as well.

Sorry to hear about the loss, that is never easy.

Have you tried to investigate the problems?

Hopefully you isolate it and have nothing but great snake experiences from here on out.

Who keeps mostly BPs, but adores his 3 corns.

Yeah, that was another though. Getting a bigger cornsnake. Adult. Maybe I should.

    :)

My first corn snake was an adult when I bought him/her.
Make sure you buy from a reputable breeder and NOT a pet store! That was my big mistake. Don't take after my stupidity and instead make sure to learn from it! :colbert:

They can be so sweet as adults, you must handle them regularly otherwise they will get more flighty than bps or boas.

I'm sorry to hear you've been having bad luck with the corns. :(

I agree with the others: don't give up on this species if you want to have one. I'd try to identify what went wrong with your first two (I know that may be impossible especially with the first one since it was a while ago), and then get an adult or maybe a yearling from a reputable breeder.

I absolutely love both our corn and our BP and I'm very glad we have both because each has their own unique charms.
