    Ball Python Poop
I'm new at keeping snakes and I've only had my BP for a little over a month. In the past month I have fed him twice. Both times he has pooped twice each meal. He first poops a few days after his meal and it is a white substance all clumped together. A week later (less than 2 weeks after his meal) he poops again. This time dark brown with some white chalky substance I could only guess was the rat's bones.

My question is: Is it normal for him to poop twice after a meal? And might he be vomiting up part of his meal?

    THats normal. White = urates. brown = p00 ;)

With regurg (Vomit) you will typically see an entire rodent. It will also be a smell that you won't forget.

No it's not the rats bones. Snakes fully digest and do not pass droppings like an owl would with the bones and such in it.

Snakes like BP's pass three things through their vent.....

1 - liquid urine, just like we do, like any creature does, basically just pee

2 - urates, white chalky looking, they come out soft and harden up fast, they are the solids left over from their urinary process (quite a complicated thing were they have the ability to reabsorb water again from their own liquid urine prior to passing out the vent)

3 - feces, just basically poop, looks pretty much like a cat turd to me, can be passed alone or in conjunction with either urates or liquid urine
