Are those preferred over other rats?

Big apple herp supply is where I got my cages pretty pricey but are nice,(pythontricker)Ball Python's that are off feed & picky feeders will eat them when they won't eat anything else,my male het has not ate since 4/28 & within a minute he hammered & ate.

Lots of people like them lots more because they are easier to take care of and reproduce like crazy. They stink less and they eat less. :)

Do you have cat or dog food in there with the lab block??

Looks like Purina One dog food... lol
